Why you should seek out a MumSafe™️ Trainer?

If you are a Mum who is attending a gym, fitness class or online training program have you asked the question to your Fitness Professional whether they are qualified in training prenatal and postnatal?

Did they ask you about your journey prior to motherhood, your birth story, about your pelvic health, did you have a 6 week check up, did you have abdominal separation checked, do you know how to correctly activate pelvic floor muscles and engage transverse abdominis correctly? There is a whole list of questions that need to be explored before deciding the right recovery and rehabilitation program and stages for you and is individual to every single person.

Is your answer Yes or No?

Let me start by letting you know of some statistics that may just change things around for you in regard to who you choose to train with......

Statistics:

⚠ In 2016 mums made up 77% of women over the age of 15+ (abs.gov.au)
⚠ Women make up 80% of those who report living with incontinence (continence.org.au)
⚠ HALF of all women who have had a baby will experience prolapse (continence.org.au)
⚠ One Postnatal forever Postnatal!

The most comment problem we see is bigger gym chains, brands, and franchises don't really seem to care about 'getting it right for mums'. It is generally left to the individual trainer to choose to up-skill in this area.

The problem:

After seeing this first hand in big 24/7 gyms and franchise gyms, how new Mums were just a number to their sales, they weren't asked the right questions before joining a fitness environment post birth.

I am now part of the solution and there is a whole team of MumSafe™️ Trainers across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore (find your local at www.mumsafe.com.au) to this issue not only for myself as I train postnatally but share the knowledge and education throughout our Community and beyond.  To spread my education and knowledge far and wide so that I can make an impact on new mothers and how mothers feel throughout their postnatal journeys.
